The bushcraft blog is a new addition to the site. It will contain all information and text that doesn't fall neatly into place elsewhere, such as articles, reviews, tips and tricks, and information on other related websites that are worth looking at.
As it's Autumn we thought it would be a good idea to start off with some mushroom talk! It's been a poor year in some parts of the country this year (2007) for mushrooms, but most of the Greenman team have found plentiful amounts of fungi, especially the edible puffballs. The ID of fungi is an art that needs to be mastered before attempting to eat ANY mushroom that you may find, some will make you sick while a handful of others can kill, so a positive ID is essential, and if in doubt you should always leave it out! There are many good books on the market covering mushroom ID, but there are also some very good websites out there. And none are better than Wild Mushrooms Online a great new website that the beginner and more advanced mycologist will find a treat to read!
For those of you who love to eat RAW or wild greens then I happened to stumble across a very good, informative site a few weeks back. Aptly named Raw Rob! Rob Hull has been eating raw food since 2002 and he's particularly into his wild greens. Rob runs raw food coaching courses and also prints his own recipe booklets. For more information on Rob and what he offers please visit www.rawrob.com
