Many years ago, when Fallkniven began the development of the now famous knife series Tre Kronor, they wanted to test something new: A completely unknown laminate powder steel. Tests went well, but they also wanted to test the steel on the open market. So they manufactured 110 F1- knives using this 3G steel, knives which were then sold all over the world. The reactions were, to say the least, positive. As a result the F1 3G has now become a regular member of the Fallkniven line up and is available as readily as the standard F1 which is not a limited edition or numbered.
