
Karesuando Little Boar Knife
This is a very fine piece of handcraft made in the Swedish part of Lapland in a traditional Northern Scandinavian way.
The Blade is 8.5cm (3.4 inches) long, 2.4 cm (0.95 inches) wide and 3mm (0.125 inches) thick, is Very Sharp and is made from high quality Sandvik 12C27 stainless "surgical" steel (HRC 57) sharpened with a flat Scandinavian grind (ideal fopr bushcraft). This blade holds an excellent edge.
The blade extends with an internal tang that stretches approx 2.5" into the handle and is secured very firmly so that it won't come loose. In fact Karesuando offers a Lifetime Guarantee that if the blade comes loose you will get an new knife straight away! Basically the blade will never come loose! The internal tang design is very beneficial from a weight perspective.
The Handle is made from curly birch stained with a golden red/brown colour. The Sheath is made from cow hide leather.
Although named the "little boar" this is still stuitable for large hands, and the shprt blades offers lots of user control.
This knife is brilliant for shooting, deer stalking, hunting, fishing and forest activities. It is also suitable for carving and could be used in all kinds of outdoor activities such as survival exercises, bushcraft and camping.
