If you would like to place an order in advance for any item that we don’t currently have in stock then give us a call on 08456 036 255
Are your products always in stock if they show on your website?
We use a state of the art bespoke stock management program and therefore any item that shows as in stock on our website should be in stock and ready to be delivered to you as quickly as possible. IF items are out of stock you will not actually be able to order them from our site as they will either show as out of stock or they will temporally be removed until new stock is in. Special order items are slightly different, these will show as in stock BUT we will clearly state in the item description that there may be an additional delay for the product. SO…. If you order from our website, IT’S IN STOCK! We firmly believe that this sets us apart, as we don’t try to gain sales by selling you items that you’re not going to get quickly!
Postage and Packing charges for orders within the UK are based on the following rates. We will send items by either standard, recorded or special delivery, and sometimes via courier depending on the item(s) being sent. Please note that some extra heavy, large or strange shaped items may have a surcharge added to them. If this is the case, this will be clearly stated alongside the items price. We do not hide costs in the postage. We offer fair prices for our products so you pay less. £10.01 - £20.00 = £2.95 £20.01 - £40.00 = £3.95 £40.01 - £60.00 = £4.95 £60.01 - £80.00 = £5.95 Above £80.00 = £6.95 Or For the Republic Of Ireland £0.01 - £10.00 = £2.95

I have no experience in bushcraft or in any of the courses that you offer. Am I still able to attend?
Yes! We aim our courses at people with varying degrees of experience. If you have little or no experience, this is not a problem, although it is a good idea to start off with our beginner’s courses, such as the Fundamental Bushcraft Course. Our photographic courses are also aimed at anyone but you will need your own camera and equipment to take part. The level of experience required on our courses will be clearly marked, but again everyone will be able to glean information from each course that we offer. Please contact us if you have any specific questions.
What type of gear do I need to bring?
Please see our kit list for details
Are your courses safe?
We do everything in our power to avoid any kind of injury to our students. Before tackling any potentially dangerous situation, you will be given guidance from your instructor, and if you feel unsafe you will not be pressured into doing anything that you don’t want to do. All of our instructors are emergency first aid trained. Of course, with our bushcraft courses there is going to be a small element of risk from cuts, burns, trips, stings, etc.
Where will the courses be held?
The locations of our courses vary. We have access to many large woodlands, coastal habitat and use of a remote island. The course information section will provide you with the area, for example Sussex or Hampshire, but you will be informed of the specific location once your booking has been received.
Will I have to eat worms or other insects?
This has to be one of the most commonly asked questions that we get. Our bushcraft and wild food courses may well introduce you to some of our less known edibles such as worms, but we will simply talk about them on some courses - they are nicer to look at rather than kill and eat.
Do I have to kill my own food?
You will not be forced to do anything that you don’t want to on our courses. Where food is included, wild meats are provided for you. But you may be required to prepare the meat for cooking. You may also be shown trapping techniques but these sorts of things will be stated on each course page. Some examples of killing your own food may be found on our coastal or island courses where you will catch and eat our own fish as well as gathering shellfish for the pot.
Do I have to be 18 to purchase the knives and tools from your shop?
YES, we will only supply knives and other tools to those of 18 years and older. Please see the offensive weapons act and knives act for more information.
Who will be teaching me?
This will all depend on the course that you are attending. We have several instructors who each cover their own area, although most of our instructors have a broad range of knowledge. The name of the instructor(s) is sometimes displayed on the course information page.
Will I be far from my car?
Again, this greatly depends on our location. Some areas that we teach you will not be far from your car whilst other areas where we teach are more accessible by plane or boat.
Are you on TV?
Yes, we have been on TV, Radio, Magazines and other forms of media.
Do you have a blog?
Well, not a BLOG as such. But we do have a page where we add 'things' that don't fit neatly into other areas of the site. This can be found by clicking HERE and just for good measure we have called it the Bushcraft BLOG!
Yes, we often do, although some packaging is new as we are not always able to keep up with the demand. Please rest asured that if we use recycled packaging for your goods, they will still be as safe as if the packaging was brand new! We recycle as much packaging as possible. If your package contains polystyrene chips, it is because we are re-using those which we have received. We also shred junk mail to use as packaging. Please re-use the packaging if you can. Remember too that cardboard (after removing tape) can be recycled as green waste at a local recycling centre or better still as a valuable component of your home compost!
Do you recycle packaging?
Yes, we stock much more than we currently have on view. We supply many people and groups/organisations. If you are looking for something in particular then contact us and we will do our best to help you out. We will also offer you a 10% discount where we can, as a thank you for choosing us.
Do you stock more than what you have on your website?
Do you supply the meals on each course
Please see the description of the course in question as this will vary. If you are still unsure, then please contact us
Will my personal belongings be safe on your courses?
Unfortunately we are not accountable for ANY of your personal belongings. These are brought with you at your own risk, including your vehicle. Remember, some courses will involve camping out, using fires and tools etc, so don’t wear your very best clothes. Items such as jewellery are better off being left at home in case of damage.
I don’t have a knife, do I need to bring my own?
That’s fine. We prefer for our students to use the knives that we supply on the day or from our shop as they are the correct type of knives for the job. Sometimes these knives are included in the course price.
I find it very hard to concentrate in groups. Do you have any other methods of teaching?
It’s very important to us to be able to offer you courses tailored to fit your learning requirements to help you reach your personal goals. As a result we do offer one to one tuition. We can also tailor these particular courses to include just what you need or want to learn (prices may vary). We also offer this to those under the age of 18 but minors must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
Why do you usually only take out small groups?
We prefer to teach smaller groups as this enables us to spend more time with each student. Some of our courses will cater for larger amounts of students, but it all depends on course content.
Do you ship your shop items worldwide?
No, for now we only sell our items to those within the United Kingdom and ROI. We may change this policy in the future. Although it is always worth askings us, just in case.
