We've been raving about the Brasher Hillmaster series of walking boots for years, and after the huge success of the Hillmaster GTX it was inevitable that the famous boot manufacture and leader in footwear, Brasher, would come up with a new version of the boot soon enough. Welcome, the Brasher Hillmaster II GTX Tech boot, possibly the best walking boot ever made.
When we once ran bushcraft courses, we were very often asked which is the best style of footwear for general bushcraft, and our instructor would always recommend the Brasher Hillmaster as the most comfortable and reliable outdoor boot, which is especially suited to the British outdoor environment.
As the name suggests, the Brash Hillmaster is the ideal boot of choice for hillwalkers, but it's also perfect for general country rambling, and hiking across long distances with a mixture of different terrains.
We feel that the Brasher Hillmaster II GTX is the best outdoor walking boot that money can buy, and they've been tried and tested by many, in fact, having sold more than one million pairs to British walkers alone, more than speaks for it!
The new Brasher Hillmaster II GTX is once again a very well thought-out and meticulously designed walking boot, and boasts several new and improved features for performance and comfort, making these the most comfortable hiking boot on the market today.
The Brasher Hillmaster II GTX features luxurious full-grain leather which is soft, supple and super durable. The PU midsole and rand offer shock absorption and greater protection and the memory foam in the collar and tongue are exceptionally comfortable. The lace locking hooks have been re-positioned for extra heel hold and the new and improved outsole design has a superb grip and cushioned comfort, whilst being even more durable.
Possibly the biggest, and most important change though, is that of the fit, which is now gender specific, making them more comfortable than ever before.
Our bushcraft and survival instructor, Kris, summed it up best when he said:
"The Brasher Hillmaster II GTX are even more comfortable than the previous version, something I didn't think was possible. They're still a lightweight and exceptionally durable outdoor boot that I feel outperforms anything in its class. Having size 14 feet means that I struggle to find comfortable footwear, but the Brasher Hillmaster II GTX still have the wider than usual fit, and the very soft full-grain leather and shock absorbent anti mud-clogging soles means that they're just perfect in every way! These really are, in my personal opinion the best bushcraft & survival boot that money can buy"
