Combo Leuku
Handmade Finnish Survival/Bushcraft Combo Knife. This is a fine piece of handcraft made in Finnish Lapland in a traditional style. The blades are 8.3 inches (21 cm) and 3.8 inches (7.7cm) respectively. high quality Carbon Steel Hardened to HRC 63-65 and tempered to HRC 59 to balance ductility and brittleness. The blades extend with full length internal tangs connected at the end of the handle. The sheath is made from wetformed half-tanned leather.
Light for size. Very ergonomic and robust. I have sharpened easily. Probably a couple of the only knives you will need but I always take a collection with me but these are useful due to sizes. Handsome looking set and the case is very lapland but solid and looks good with ease of insertion and extraction of both knives and surprisingly they don't come out in a hurry. Glad I bought them above others I could have bought and paid a lot more for but would not have been as good. I have made some bad buys in the past and this is not one of them.
Probably one of three or four knives you will ever need I include in the ensemble the MOD JA Adams genuine MOD knive. These are workman like very sharp and easy to maintain and I assume they are tempered for the extreme of cold Look pretty secure but easy to draw
Got this combo almost a year ago now and its been my main carry along with a helle eggen ever since. Total is £160 ish (for the Combo & Helle) which is half some people would pay for a high end full tang bush knife. With this setup you get all the versatility youll ever need. Very sharp and as the others said, very easy to maintain with a diamond stone and ceramic rod.
