IMACASA Machetes are low cost, but high quality cutting tools that are frequently used in agricultural industries and bushcraft and survival.

Each tool is rather crude in appearance, and somewhat basic, but they're very functional and strong, featuring an industrial grade tempered steel blade which has a full-tang and riveted wooden handle. We offer two blade sizes of these machetes, so please select from the dropdown menu either 12-inch or 14-inch blade. Each has a 14.5cm wooden handle.

Please note: these tools are not supplied with a sheath.

"A good light weight tool for training our young troop. Well balanced with a keen blade"

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Wayne

"I got the 12 inch machete. I find it best to think of this as: what is the most functionality I can get out of a tool that weighs 300grammes? The 12 inch machete is not as good a chopper as a billhook, but it is ok. It is not as good a slasher as a longer machete, but it is ok. But then, if you are carrying it, it is a lot lighter and more compact than either. It is pointy and firm enough to be used as a digging tool, e.g. for a toilet hole, or for gathering roots in bushcraft. It is small enough to be used for whittling, or for fine chopping like making notches in round wood. And the price! For the money it is very very good. But even if it were thirty pounds more expensive, it is still a good tool at doing what it does. Yes, a Condor Parang may be a better chopper and a better slasher, but it is heavier to carry. Buy a small paring knife, one that comes with a plastic sheath. Combined with the 12 inch machete and you have a cutting and chopping system that weighs less than a pound, has cost less than 15, and can outperform most alternatives at the weight, even if you were to spend fifty pounds more!"
