PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This NEW knife from Mora is essentially a beefed up version of the Mora 840 and 860 bushcraft training knives. Mora produce some of the best bushcraft knives in the world today, especially bushcraft training knives, such as these.

The Mora HighQ Robust bushcraft knife has a thicker spine than the Mora 840 or 860 clipper meaning that it's not only stronger, but the thicker and deeper carbon steel means it's more capable of tougher camp crafts, such as splitting sticks for campfires.

The Mora Robust outdoor knife comes complete with a double-moulded extra large knife handle, which has been designed to provide a better grip and is impact resistant.  The thicker 3.2mm high-carbon steel bushcraft blade is now 40g heavier than on the Mora companion/clipper 840 and 860 bushcraft training knives (these are 2.0mm thick).

This fantastic bushcraft and outdoor knife comes complete with a grey plastic twin-sheath, which gives you the advantage of being able to clip your other Mora knives to the outside, meaning you can carry more than one of these bushcraft tools with you whilst practising bushcraft and outdoor survival skills.

  • Blade Thickness: 3.2mm
  • Blade Length: 91mm
  • Overall length: 206mm
  • Weight (with sheath): 133g
  • Steel: High-carbon knife steel
  • Sheath: Plastic moulded (twin toggle sheath, fits most modern Morakniv knives)
  • Activities: Bushcraft skills, Survival Skills, Forest Schools, Scouts, Outdoor, Hunting, Woodcarving and general utility use.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

"I really like this knife, it was bought as part of my forest school kit. It's sturdy, and good quality. Arrived sharp and ready to use. "

"Knife does the job - very pleased. Disappointed with sheath but perhaps at that price I'm being a bit picky. Customer service exceptional - sheath I damaged replaced with no fuss - thanks. Would recommend to anyone."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Berny Trace

"I liked whittling with my old Mora wood handled knife, but this has a heftier blade, and far more comfortable grip, which is far better for general bushcrafting duty."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Keith Heaven

"My first bushcraft knife bought mainly for green woodworking / whittling etc. It looks and feels like a good choice - excellent value, razor sharp and robust enough for small splitting jobs as well as carving. I like the Scandi grind which will make it easy to sharpen, especially for beginners like me! Definitely worth the 5 stars."

"I can't say enough good things about the Mora Robust. Works just as well - if not better - than a knife costing ten times the price. Sharp as a razor and I'm not exaggerating. I own two of these. For this price why not? 5 stars all the way. "

"Sturdy and well balanced."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Armand Tanzarian

"A really good knife, it has a slightly thicker blade than other knives which is great for around the campfire for splitting wood etc but is also still very sharp and works well for stripping the bark off, I have very small hands and the handle of this knife is too big for me and has given me a couple of blisters but it's still a very good knife and much better for the price than any smaller handled ones I've seen. The sheath fits easily onto a belt and the knife fits securely inside - there's a little click when it's fully inside. I only got this knife about a week and a half ago to replace a much older knife but used it this weekend on a scout camp and found that it was perfect for all the jobs around camp that require more than a penknife including cutting cans for a stove making activity. I would recommend this as a very good knife for camps but the issue of handle size makes it unsuitable for those with particularly small hands. All in all a very good knife but the manufacturers should consider making a version with a smaller, narrower handle. "
