Amsteel Blue is an incredibly strong, abrasion resistant and lightweight 12-strand Dyneema cord that is literally stronger than steel. Amsteel Blue is just the name of this super-strong utility cord; the colours offered are black/grey or green.

What is Amsteel Blue used for?

The amount of uses for this outdoor cord is endless. You'll commonly see Amsteel being used as lifeline, reef line, winch line and is even used as trapeze line, but for the purposes of bushcraft and outdoor use it is mostly usually used in the construction of Whoopie Slings and general use around the camp for suspending hammocks, tarps and for any application that demands ultimate strength whilst maintaining a very thin (2.5mm) diameter.

If you require outdoor rope that is much stronger than 550 paracord, then our range of Amsteel is probably the choice for you. The breaking of this cordage is nearly 1-ton!  In fact, our Amsteel is so strong it makes an excellent back-up for metal shackles.

Where to Buy Amsteel Dyneema Cord?

Here at Greenman Bushcraft we offer a wide range of specialist outdoor ropes and utility cords from 550 paracord, through to this, our Amsteel Blue. Unlike many suppliers of Amsteel, our cord is treated, pre-stretched and amour coated, making it tougher and more resistant to the elements and demanding uses than other versions available.

"Great product at a good price."

"The black colour fades off a bit, but it makes excellent wear-resistant bootlaces (I really hate it when bootlaces snap)."

"Excellent whoopee slings made. and ready to go "

"Far better strength to weight ratio than regular paracord. Also takes up a quarter of the room. May look at replacing my paracord stashes with this. "
