Opinel have provided a range of great quality knives suitable for Bushcraft since the 1890's, the no. 12 VRN knife is an oversized penknife and are more akin to sheath knives, however its size doesn't stop this knife from fitting snugly in most pockets as with Opinel's smaller knives.

The no. 12 knife reflects the origins of Opinel's original blades and sports a 12cm blade as with the original series 1 to 12 created by Opinel in the 1890's. Its size and quality make it a great value Bushcraft knife, with a simple, sturdy design these make an ideal multi-purpose tool. With a choice of blade made from either high-carbon steel or stainless steel, Opinel blades are quick and easy to sharpen and can be made razor sharp with little effort.

This is a great Bushcraft knife for those who are looking for a great quality pocket knife that won't break the bank.

Never had an Opinel model before but after buying and try...

Never had an Opinel model before but after buying and trying this I am hooked, so I bought more sizes. Superb, they should put these in military survival kits and issue a smaller one too. Cannot believe i missed out on these all these years superb.

Awesome service from the team at Greenmanbushcraft, on to the knife it is of course an excellent blade ,sharp out of the box but not shaving sharp!the finish of the blade is what you would expect from opinel the overall standard of workmanship is 10 out of 10, the 1st choice for people who depend on a blade look after it n pass it on to kids!
