Age Verification 18+Fallkniven CC4 Ceramic Whetstone – Fine Knife Sharpening Stone with Leather Pouch
The Fallkniven CC4 Ceramic Whetstone is a compact, high-quality sharpening stone designed for maintaining fine knife edges at home, in the workshop or as part of a bushcraft and survival tool kit. Ideal for outdoor knives, carving knives, folding knives and other fine cutting tools, this dual-sided ceramic sharpening stone is made for users who want excellent edge refinement without the need for oil or water during sharpening.
The CC4 combines two ceramic sharpening surfaces. The white side is a super-fine ceramic stone rated at approximately 0.1 micron, ideal for final polishing and finishing an already established edge. The dark grey side is a fine ceramic surface made with synthetic sapphires, rated at approximately 1 micron, and is suitable for refining and maintaining a sharp working edge.
This stone is best used for regular knife care and edge finishing. If your knife is very blunt, damaged or has lost its original bevel, start with a coarser diamond sharpening stone first. Once the edge shape has been restored, the CC4 can be used to remove the burr, refine the edge and produce a very sharp, controlled cutting surface.
No lubrication is required, making the CC4 easy to use in the field or at home. Over time, the ceramic surface may collect metal particles from sharpening; simply clean the stone with warm water and a small amount of liquid soap when needed. A protective leather pouch is included for storage and transport.
How to Use
Place the blade flat on the stone, then gently raise the spine of the knife to match the existing sharpening angle. Move the blade in small circular motions or controlled strokes, keeping steady pressure and a consistent angle. Work both sides of the blade evenly.
A useful sharpening tip is the “ink trick”: colour the knife edge with a felt-tip pen before sharpening. As you work, the ink will be removed from the areas making contact with the stone, helping you see whether you are holding the correct angle.
To check sharpness, carefully and lightly test the edge against your fingernail. If it bites gently without sliding, the knife is sharp enough for most bushcraft, carving, camp and everyday cutting tasks.
