PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Boonies Outdoor Super Scraper is the perfect companion to your firesteel or Paracord bracelet. Measuring approx. 4.8cm and made from high-carbon steel, this sharp scraper is a great survival tool for lighting fires with firesteels as well as cutting cord thanks to the scraper blade (approx. 2cm long and very sharp). There is a serrated section on the bottom side of the handle which is not just for creating showers of sparks it can be used as a mini saw (approx. 1.6cm). The central hole of 13.90mm is a useful thumb guide but also enables the tool to be attached to a 550 paracord survival bracelet (the bracelet in the images is not supplied).

Boonies Outdoor Firesteel Toggle and Firesteel Scraper

The scraper is supplied with a small (approx. 25mm) firesteel toggle rod which also acts as a clasp and may use to light fires in emergencies. Due to the nature of this item being sharp we dont recommend it as an everyday carry item, but when partaking in bushcraft and survival is a very handy and potentially lifesaving wearable survival gadget.

Bracelet not included.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

"I know the product description says 'not recommended as an everyday carry item due to its sharp nature, but when made up into a bracelet like in the picture, it is impossible to wear because of the serrated scraper / saw blade being against your wrist. I still like the item as a tiny emergency fire starter, it's inexpensive and it works well once you have got the hang of it, but just need to work out a better way of wearing or carrying it...maybe as a zipper toggle or a pendant...?"
