The DD Underblanket is a compact, lightweight and easy to use winter warmer, designed to fit on the underside of your hammock to keep you warm and toasty as you sleep out in the open. The DD underblanket is effective down to -5C, but will add an element of protection in any condition.
A hammock underblanket, for those who don't know, is considered to be the best form of protection from the cold weather whilst sleeping in a hammock. The majority of heat-loss is caused from the underside of the hammock where your body presses against the base and your clothing, meaning there is no air circulation. The hammock underblanket hangs below the hammock, creating an air pocket which warms up and keeps the cold at bay.
The DD Hammock Underblanket is 2 metres long, large enough to provide full insolation for most people.

"I bought this for use with the dd superlight hammock and unlike other dd hammocks the superlight is designed for a diagonal sleeping position compared to the strait sleeping former of dd's other hammocks. I think this underquilt would be better suited to dd's other hammocks as I find it takes a bit of work and repositioning to get it just right with my hammock but on the whole I'm impressed, it seems overpriced for what it is but it gets the job done. The compression sack is garbage though and needed replacing strait away. "
