PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Greenman Bushcraft Firesteel is quite simply the best value fire striker available today - and now with a premium striker. We've listened to our customers' requests to offer something similar to the old-style Light My Fire Firesteels, and we've succeeded, as well as slashing the price by a massive 80%. Keeping both costs to an absolute minimum for you and using only the very best firesteel design, the Greenman Bushcraft firesteel really is the best value army firesteel on the market.

Greenman Bushcraft Army Firesteel Spec And Uses:

Our Greenman Firesteels boast a 58mm high-grade ferroicum steel rod with a width of 9mm. Simply strike the firesteel rod with the supplied striker or the back of any bushcraft knife (carbon or stainless steel) to create a huge shower of extra-hot sparks to ignite your tinder bundle to create a warming campfire.

Our own-brand firesteels are suitable for bushcraft use, survival, forest schools, camping and scouting use. Each one will last for a long time, and if used correctly is capable of lighting up to 10,000 fires.

60 Days Returns Policy Included FREE

We are confident that you'll love our firesteels, and back this up; we're offering an added 30 days no quibbles returns policy on this item. That's 30 days on top of our standard 30 days no hassle returns policy (see our terms for full details).

To go with your new firesteel:

We also offer a Greenman Army Firesteel and Tinder bundle for just a few pence extra! See the drop-down for further details.

Wholesale Firesteels:

"Good quality and good value product. Bought to replace some old kit and it looks as though these will stand the test of time. They worked quite well on first use, but are improving each time we use them."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Joan Ayres

"Very pleased with this firesteel. Throws a nice shower of hot sparks making fire lighting easy."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Phil

"Have just come back from a Cub camp where I spend a lot of time teaching the cubs fire lighting. This firesteel works very well, throwing good sparks for experienced users (me) and novices alike. Very good value and robust components. My only criticism is the plastic toggle used to join the cord ends. This toggle fell off after a few minutes, so knots in the end of the cord keep it all together now. Irritating, but hardly unique: most of my steels (of differing makes) have exactly the same problem. It would be easier and cheaper to tie a knot there when making them."

"ALWAYS GREAT QUALITY. WILL ALWAYS CHOOSE THIS PRODUCT FOR MY FIRE STEELS."

"I recently purchased the Army Firesteel, and was impressed with the quality of this product, as a beginner to BushCraft I had no problem using this Firesteel, plenty of sparks. Packaging and delivery of product was good, no problems at all. "

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Jackie

"Nice quality firesteel and a decent size. Plenty of sparks although the striker seems to work better on the back side where the striker surface is rougher. You need to practice with good dry tinder and kindling as it takes a while to get the hang of fire lighting even with a firesteel."

"Throws a great spark and at under a fiver whats not to like Cheers Guys"

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Bam

"Great bit of kit, I received it this morning and I've been trying it out. I am an ex soldier and haven't used a firesteel in years. But with this one I had my tinder alight in seconds. I tried this a few times to make sure I could do this every time. The sparks are hot and I managed to get good sparks every time."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Andrew Cox

"Great fire steel, throws a lot of sparks. I normally buy the blanks and add paracord handles. So, for the price these are at the minute it was a no brainer. Great service as always from Greenman Bushcraft."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Big Ash

"great bit of kit, pain free ordering and delivery"

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Jim

"At the current sale price, even with postage it is still cheaper than most on the market, but don't let the cheap price put you off thinking it to be inferior, This is superb, a huge shower of sparks fly out a fair distance which would ignite any decent tinder (or Trangia) after only a few scrapes of the surface to remove the black coating. I purchased this to put in one of my stove kits (different kits for different situations) as I don't like taking from one kit and using on another (just in case I forget to put it back), and to be honest, I have at least one firesteel from a reputable make, that doesn't come anywhere close to how good this is. I suspect I will be replacing that one shortly. "

"I use Greenman Bushcraft for all of my outdoor and bushcraft needs. I’ve been buying wholesale bushcraft equipment from them for about 5 years now. The quality is always second to none, and I extend that statement to these firesteels, they are simply fantastic value and in my honest opinion they are better than the Light My Fire Army Firesteels, and yet they truly are a fraction of the cost. I use these Fire Lighting Firesteels on all of the courses my company run, and because they’re such a great cost, my students not only get to use them, but everyone gets to take one home with them. If you need the best firesteels and the lowest prices, then look no further than the Greenman Bushcraft Firesteels, they really are as good as Greenman says they are. 5 Stars for product and service, I’d give you more stars if I could. Thanks guys. "

"Solid looking lump of magnesium rod. Only tested the surface, plenty of white hot sparks. "

"Would be lost without one of these, and at this price its not the end of the world if you forget to bring it home. "

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Steve P

"As quick as a flash. Service was great, the delivery time was excellent, Product feels robust and works well. "

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Kevin

"Excellent quality cheap firesteels! Just as good as Light My Fire but with a wholesale price. Low price firesteels but as good, if not better than any branded steels that I've used with my scouts. They work great using a knife as the striker too. Will you offer smaller ones in the future too? Thanks for the great service as always Greenman Bushcraft, you guys are the best! Ian"
