PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Zebra Head stainless steel loop handle pots or Billy cans / Tins are a really great quality product made in Thailand. The pots are used by many survival schools & instructors because of their strength, longevity, usefulness and ease of cleaning. They have a notched loop handle for hanging over a fire and come complete with an internal dish which for steaming or cooking in situ or they can be used as a plate. The pots are supplied with a plastic removable auto locking system for the lid to prevent spillage on un-even ground.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

"Fantastic Billy can I'm hoping that I will get to use it this year"

StarStarStarStarStarReview By David Johnson

"1st bought the 12cm can & now the 10cm can. I highly recommend these cans, they are ideal for gas stoves as well as open fire's. very handy sizes, easy to pack & carry. Both sizes are big enough for boil-in-the-bag meals or for cooking fresh foods, brilliant for small stews or soup's, strong & well made these are 1st class pieces of kit, you can also store your gas stove inside, saving more room in your pack. My only gripe is the plastic clips, you would think that after so many people saying throw the clips away the makers would have changed these to metal clip's. a perfect gift for your budding Bushcraft pal's."

"Great size 10cm for many camping uses on gas or over a fire. Need to throw away the clips as useless. There is a company in the states that makes metal clips to keep the handle upright but too expensive to import to UK! I did think about taking the handle off as the pot then fits inside a well known stores cutlery holder to use as a hobo stove. Need to fix a wire to use then as handle. Pouring can be a wee bit akward, but it is a solid billy and a great addition to your cooking kit! Bought my son the 12cm as liked it so much."

"After removing the lid clips this bad boy allowed me to cook meals for one with ease! Good build quality, i definitely recommend!"

"Zebra seemed to be the bit of kit that everyone raved about, so i got one to try. Its a good one person cook system over a gas stove. I haven't used it over a fire yet but the plastic lid holder does worry me. The design is more carrying hot food than cooking, so I suppose for camp, its a good vessel to store foods in. I have a 4X4, so not too worried about weight."

"Top-class billy cans. They have a few disadvantages as mentioned, mostly the handle doesn't collapse compactly, but in a stuff sack they are fine. I have a few of these and I take the plastic locking mechanism off and throw it away - it's pretty pointless over a fire! However, having a hate-hate relationship with aluminium I rarely use anything else."

"Nice size Billy, good quality stainless, but I am afraid the plastic locking mechanism has melted away after the first use, nonetheless a good bit of kit that should last for many years"

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Squire

"Mine arrived today, I am impressed with the quality, I have the 14cm And that would be big enough for a soup for two. And would definitely fit a boil in a bag pack with ease. I wanted it primarily because of the notch on the handle to hang over a fire, but the locking(on the hinges of the handle) I fear will melt if the fire is too hot. Overall for the price it is worth it, and I am going to be carrying it through Sweden, so I think it is practical for most occasions unless weight is priority, then go for titanium."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Kristian

"ADV - excellent quality; robust; lid seal useful; handle loop practical DISADV - weight; handle (upright) in way in bag when can closed; not able to "nestle" like cheap nestling set; lid cannot be used as pan or secondary pot like cheap nestling set OVERALL - good for car-camping//glamping/caravaning; less practical for free camping/hiking/backpacking"
